I found this picture on the ole samba and am really diggin the look. Anybody know who owns it, or have info or more shots of it? I am trying to decide what color to paint my ragtop and this up there on the list.

i remember goin to milan dragway with my mustang buddy. and we went to the burnout box and a bug left the line and pulled the wheels a little,my buddy said wow thats one mean bug.then chuck pulled up in his old bug and put it on the stinger.to this day he still brings that up.little off subject but that car was nasty. Grin

Was that the one that was built in the guy's living room? Then he died a few months after the feature? I can't remember much more about it - definately a European built car if its the one I'm thinking of!

You're right Neil. The car was built by Jimmy of the Der Benzin Saüfers in Belgium and it is Capri Blue.

Great looking car that I remember seeing at Spa in 2004, the other DBS members had photos of Jimmy in the rear side windows of each club car as a mark of respect shortly after he had passed.

true! my first VoWo magazine. pretty cool car and a peculiar engine too. 1998cc : 71x94 type 1. FK-10 but then 45 dellorto's and gigantic denham heads if i remember correctly.

Yes, this car belonges to Jimmy ( RIP) one from our members, sadly his wife decided to store the care and save it for his daughters.
Until now it i still stored in the garage and has never been driven again.

I think that pass was a trans breaker. Not right away but at an event the next weekend the whole gear stack pushed back on the first pass!
