That is fast, but it is turbo charged.
I think the fastest N/A in Sweden with a quite standard byggy is Madde Karlsson who made around 11.1 or 11.2 in the late 90's. Her brother Martin also had a buggy, but I can't recall any time. I think he still has it and is working on it from time to time and the car is insane with all billet details and home made 62.1 mm carbs (just to be a tad bigger than the Terminators!).

I know Ali Southcombe ran in the 10's back in the day, not sure if anyone has the exact numbers. Cool car as well, very clean thanks to Mr Deck height himself.

It will be nice to see Ali back out there, get better soon i reckon.

I have seen it race but only in the early 90's when we raced mostly 1/8 mile in Sweden. Later on he made major updates but it has been quiet for a couple of years now.
Maybe some of the Skåne racers like Johannes Persson, Mats Herrlander or Frallan knows?

Martin has sold the buggy without the engine and transmission.

He has currently an Typ 1 full shassiecar, not together yet,  and is working on an 914 with alot of godies.

My favourite drag buggy - but a LWB one. I'm looking forward to seeing Ali back on track too - she's the one I first spoke to about drag racing at Bug Jam back in about 1998!

I made an article on Ambjörns and Martins buggy in Hot VWs called The Bug Professors. Will see if I can dig it out and post it.

Last year I took my 61 Terminators to Ambjörn and we sat down in the kitchen to compare his billet ones with the American made ones.
Yeah, we did have fun when we realized that he had made them 1,1 mm larger and not 0,1 larger than the original Terminators.
Anyway, his were clearly a hotter ticket visually. They have yet to be raced.

Doug Berg's  buggy was great. Does anyone have pictures of it?
BRM's
Tape wrapped around foam on the roll cage
I think he even ran it with a bug hood on the front for a while if my memory serves me right.
That thing was tough and rough. Almost a rat rod before it's time?

6.60 should be equal to 10.4 - 10.5 or so!

I heard a rumour that Ali and Dave are seriusly considering entering the scene again. But I havent talked to them in ages, - like 5 years or so.
I know she actually did a 10,86 with backup at the the Pod the year before they decided to call it a day. But I dont know why it isnt listed. (I know because I was crewing that day, and watched the race from behind the starting line)

Ali and Dave are members of Outlaw Flat Four, and are intending to race again soon. Not entirely sure when, but I know there are plans! Smiley
I thought that Ali had got into the 10.8's, but wasn't sure!
