Thats the point of my project......Dare to be different !!
More and more cal lookers are coming......but it loooks like most of al are beetles before 1967 and with original collors.
My 69 beetle (late looker) must be a mix between the old look and the cal look from the 70s and 80s.

Damn......I cant work this weekend on my car Sad   Going to Berlin and maybe to Wolfsburg.
But after the weekend i go for it and the chassis must be Done within a few weeks so i can start with the rollcage !  Grin

Cheers !

Great job on the chassis ! Have you got some details about how you'll mount the Simca seats ? I picked up some same style seats (Alpine-Renault buckets) and I'm wondering how to mount them.

Thanks for the pics Paulus  Wink.
Will you mount a kind of system to have access to rear seats ? Or there will be no rear seats ? Grin.

Those Simca seats always look right. I have some roaming around the house as well, waiting to be mounted in my 66.

I am going to cut the frames as you have, however I have also been thinking of making the co drivers seat tilt to the front to facilitate acces to the back. Although with the thoughts going to a rollcage right now, that won't be needed after all, as I will have to move through the car like a monkey anyway.

That's what I'd like to do too, I wanted to check a Simca 1000 Rallye or a R8 Gordini to see how the seats are mounted, but they are both 4 doors cars, and inside an Alpine I'm not sure there are rear seats.
