The world would be a dull and boring place to live if you couldn't have a bit of fun every now and again.
I'm pretty sure no one has actually taken offence. But I'm not sure if the builders of the street demons have taken a fence and tried to fit it somewhere on their VW? 

And as you mentioned it - unbiased though I should perhaps be in your opinion - I've got to admit this fact, I don't love all VWs, and would never say I did.
There are plenty of VWs air and water-cooled I personally wouldn't want to drive or own. 
Does that mean I'm bad?
