Now we`re talking, this is my kind of a street car! A car that you`re a little afraid to drive on the roads is the car that bring the biggest smiles on my face. Should say WARNING on the key.

i can't understand the fuss about this car (how it looks). it doesn't have that 'it' to it. the performance may be another story though...

I disagree completely! For me it does have the "It" factor - even though some of the details aren't to my tastes, the whole being greater than the sum of the parts creates something awesome. I'm not keen on full chrome trim, I don't like yellow letters on the tyres, I prefer anodised alloys to polished and I'm not even that struck on the colour, but on this car it really works and Shawn has created a car that is pretty close to my dream VW! Way too narrow front beam(or wheels?) for my taste, otherwise a truly great looking car with awesome performance!

its changed due to vacuum pump rule , but it was Factory VW Brazilian case, Scat flanged crank, Carillo rods, CP pistons, Auto-Craft 910 Heads, Geers Engineering Terminators, Product Engineering vacuum pump with custom bracketry by Shawn Geers, custom header and muffler by Webb Manufacturing. www.geersengineering.com
i remember it had a centre-mount fan shroud to make room for the vac pump , and the motor was BIG !!! think it was in last years cal-look issue if youre searching....

Shawn's SSDRKC car is detailed to the max. To get the full effect and appreciation of the car, it has to be seen in person. The great photos are nice, but really don't come close to it's insane detail. Street car? as much as any of the last year DRKC contender cars. They were detailed to the 9's with SS or similar motors...man that was fun!

Thats some spec!

I love the fact that this car is Street weight, Street Driven, Street Exhaust (No Stinger) but can still pull wheelies and run those insane times!

Just fits all the criteria for me

Like this car a lot, since I got some back issues of Hot VW's I can't stop watching that article. I realy like that "deep" nose down stance, and engine. Only don't like the interior colour...

One movie...

How possible fitted 96.5 piston kit into mag case with std stud pattern?  I just rough measured the cross distance of the insterts was just 97 mm + . might not using stud inserts ?
