I love that car too - we were really excited seeing it the first time in Bitburg.

I'd like to thank DAS for the nice club post card I received in the mail today; just the best!!  I haven't had my car out of the garage much lately but
getting that card got me off my ass and out on the road for a couple of pics.  The weather here in SoCal has been pretty damp this year and the hills
around home are all green for a change plus the sun's out, it's clear and you can still see some snow on Mt Baldy.  Cheers guys!! Grin

Looking great Sarge, as always!

Where is that Ballard Motors plate frame from? I can't read the top...

Thanks, Zach!  Ballard Motors was in Anaheim on Lemon St near the 91 freeway... it later became Volkswagen East and
was a sister store to Volkswagen West in Garden Grove.
They were the dealer that originally sold the car to a German couple who lived not far from DKP headquarters.  Ballard
Motors never had the cachet of Don Burns or Chick Iverson....

Thanks for the history lesson Smiley Cool knowing where your came car from. There's a Ballard (neighborhood) up here, I was thinking it may be related.
