IDF pump jets dripping

as you may remember I had too high fuel pressure in my 1914, I fixed that but the engine seemed to be too rich anyway, so I guessed the needle and seat had seen better days, so today I went to change them, well, actually I just had time to do the right carb, before dismantling anything I had a look down the throats with the engine running and I noticed that the acc pumps were dripping when rpms were held above 2000 rpm aprox.
when I put the that carb back together I started the engine and it was still doing it, so....what's up here? it does not do it at idle, just above 2000 rpm, I set the float at 11mm, needle & seat are new (tho I realised they were Empi brand, made in China, ugh!) , didn't check fuel pressure today but it should be around 3 psi.
carbs are 44 IDFs, 36 vents, 150 mains, 200 airs, 60 idles (I know that's too big), 50 pump
linkage is CB hexbar, but it was not connected when I did the tests so it shouldn't matter (and I tried holding the throttle lever firmly and it just kept dripping)
I must say that the old needle and seat did look well used, and I'd say that before the change it dripped more than after, but I don't know where to look next, seems I'll have to take out the carbs (which it's what I wanted to avoid) and rebuild them completely, maybe could a worn accelerator diaphragm spring do this?
