Looks like you got a good car to start with. That's ALWAYS nice...but then again, we all know how quickly that goes downhill the deeper you get. What's in store for it?   Huh

Fairly unmolested.

Daniel Hood clipped it just before Christmas.  Car is originally Panama Beige, but the more I look at the dash the less I like it.  Paprika red with 15x5.5's and deep 6's.
Engine is going together now...
2276
5.325 chevy journal
L6T heads with 40x37.5 valves
XR296 with 106lc
1 5/8" exhaust with dual qp's
9 to 1 compression ratio
I haven't decided if it will get the injectors or 48 dellorto's.

Sure is ugly!

Cleaned up pretty nicely.

One bad repaint over original Panama Beige.

Still has chalk marks behind gas tank.

Won't need too much work.

Gotta call Bryan back, so we can go see "The Rodbuster".

Bryce Anderson is finishing off the clip.

Bryan67's head poking over the top.  Bryce bent up a piece to section in where the rust was.

Peashooters should be filled next week.

More grease pencil marks.

There they are! You should weld up that line of holes on each side, and the ones on the hood. Looks much better that way.

You probably have it done by now, but I found the article on filling the exhaust cut outs in the 2002 HotVWs "Totally Tech" special. I'd scan it, but I don't have those capabilities Tongue

The battery on the camera died.  Pics of the pan tomorrow.  No beer for you, one year.  Bad fabricator, bad!

By the way, Scott of Metalcraft put the pan halves in under 2 hours, even cutting out the old ones.  Probably would have taken less time if I didn't "help".

WW pan halves fit really well.  Dropped them in after punching holes around the edges to plug weld.

Scott built a Renn Kafer style bar, and welded in seatbelt mounts.  Fuel line in the tunnel.  Pan is at powdercoat.

edit: fixed picture links. Luke, rigtclick on the pictures and click properties. Then copy that link instead of the one in the browser adress field.
