Guys

Last week Mr Webb was approached at Bakersfield and asked if he knew anyone who would buy the Italy 1 Race Car, this car has had the same owner/builder/racer since the late 60's and was still racing last weekend. Well Its now in LA before heading accross the pond to share stables with some of the other Gassers of the day. I would like to thank Richie, Jo, Dave and Mike for their help in this.

Im sure we will see plenty of older pictures of the car on here and im so looking forward to it......... post away guys.

I spent along time thinking about how many times this car had been at the track with its original owner and it's quite a trip when you consider it. A great little car.

Wow, I wasn`t expecting that. That car has been a part of the central valley for so long but it`s gone to a good home. Very cool.

russ if i had the money i would be doing the same as you.  luckily you're a nice bloke as well Smiley

But as i have previously suggested, you need to rent the downstairs of VOWO show next year and put ALL the gassers there.  Now that would be awesome.

Great buy Russell. I have raced against Italy 1 many times, the best part about it is it's race ready. I like that it is a Bug In winner and a cover car on Volkswagen Greats Magazine. The owner has been thinking about selling it for at least 5 years and no one took him up on it. It was racing at Bug O Rama with a for Sale sign a few years ago.
