Hi loungers here s a little update,i redisigned the rearframe for the auto trans and make some brackets to hook it up
i also rebuilded the autotrans and modifid it.
Everything sits in place now it was a lot of cutting and grinding.
The converter is send to a partner  he is going to rebuild it for higher stall speed about 4000 rpm s
Next to do is install the shifter and rebuild the brain of the box and install a transbrake .
Therefore i am going to use a linelock solonoid .
I hope you enjoy the pics.

So an update again for who s interested.
I picked up an old beetle and kut out the rear end of the body.
Then y started to drill all the fucking spotwelds out .
Then i sandblasted the rusty section of the body parts and welded the rotten spots.
And then i welded the left inner fender back in the car and connected the rollcage to the body.
thats all for tonight dudes.

So today i made an rpm pick up bracket ...
Good progress Henri!
I would however try to fixate the bracket on 2 points instead of only one it now seems to be. These brackets must be super stable or you may get errors on the sensor.

damn, i can't see how that trans will perform.

but one question, you really want go blow through with that supercharger and is there a reason for that?

Yes the reason is that when its pull trough the mixture will be beaten by the blender effect of the worm wheels and separate the fuel form the oxygen ,and thats bad for engine performance and engine life .
Intercooled efi is the way to go for me.
And i like the fast boost reaction of the charger ,it wil go on boost as soon as i hit the trottle.
So no spooling the turbo up anymore as i have a small engine 1.9 this is the best for me.
i am gaining for a 300 hp at the crank but its a long way ,the torque wil be a more great issue because its there as i blimp the pedal.

thats not that bad, the heat will vaporise the fuel and the mix is good as well.
but in a efi you have no fuel there. and boost respons is also 1:1 with gaspedal in a draw through.
why i ask:
in blow you will need a huge blow by system and the supercharger has alot of parasitic when going from the throttle that will make alot more heat.
draw through with bypass is the best way to go with supercharger. but on the stripe it doesn't matter. on the road it will run colder. what ind of bypass want you use? a sec. throttle like g40 g60 engines or a vacuum tin style?

but definitly yes to the all time torque...i love my daily driver 30ps engine. 150nm from 1700-3000rpm and 70hp at 3900rpm out of close to stock 30hp heads with 1200cc that is torque like a stock 2.0 typ4 . i bet you will have alooooot of  torque down below.

have fun

Hey today i  worked on the hurst pistol grip shifter for the car .
i soon finded out that the geometrie of both the roosters waren t equal .
so i made a test stand and recalbrated the shifter cable and the roosters .
then wen that was working i figurde out how to make the brackets for the cables and holders .
and this is the result .
it shifts like a real pro.
and the neutral lock out is on the right spot

Hi guys  today i worked on the dash i decieded to by myself some new autometer gauges like.
Engine oil press
engine temp
Transmission oil press
Transmission oil temp
I needed space to build them in and so i can have a good look to it
I decieded to use a original black dash cover and i most say it looks good as the whole interieur is going to be black
that looks good in a daily/strip car

the work for today is mock up so its not ready yet
I am happy with the trans gauges so i can monitor what the trans press is doing vs trans temp.
I took some pics enjoy

the belt tensioner is also ready now i can order a belt,
next to do is welding the alloy pipes from the manifold to the tbi s.

Henri, you spend a lot of money on the Optima. Keep it charged all the time or it will die soon. Get yourself a CTEK battery charger. You will not regret it.
Just my 2 cents.

Hey i did some work today .
Ill changed an old autometer shiftlight to a oilpress warning light.
I noticed that many race car engines have a to slow working oil press sender and when an engine comes in the shop .
With all the bearings eaten out the costumer says ,but the light didn t come on!
Its important to have a quick working oil warning light

And a customers project went on the dyno this week we did the tranny engine and rear axle.
It pulled 381 rwhp and loads of torque .
Hit the throttle at 50 kmh and you can buy new rear tyres
just wanted to share the project because i think its a realy nice restored 65 gto

Yes, these chargers are perfect just for that. (killing the crystals in the batteries). If Optimas hate on thing, it's being sitting unused on the shelf.
