Hi this week  i maneged to work on the dash again .
Its almost done and i think its looking good and it al works fine .
And i did some work on the torque converter
I got hold on a vw rabbit type convertor and there stall is about 2400 rpm ,
i hope that. i can get 3200 out of it
,Then i know what to to with the new one.
But the starter ring gear and aircooling was not provided on the rabbit type so it has to we welded over.
It took a lot of time to get it dialed in but it fits quite nice now.
I will see how accurate my work was when i have it balanced.
So for me one step futher.
And after that i did my first airbrush on a old chevy fender.
Just for relaxing .

enjoy gr Henri

Love the pin striping Henri. If you did this just to relax, I think you have talent!

MORE please!
Nice build.

010 transmission and SC is what I had but never finished years ago.
I added a turbo blowing in to the SC and while having some fun mapping on the open road, I melted pistons and more. When building it new, it had another concept. I am still and will continue to love teh roque, respone and more from the SC.
Good luck!

Finaly i got hold of a pair of chargecoolers that i will fit on my engine so i can get the intake air temp down.
I have to cut and weld them to fit on the boxer engine .
Tommorow the car goes to my cousin to fabricate the engine and transmission mounting .
And my emergency brake system was gone so i placed an other one as the car is going to be streetlegal it has to be in there and working.

Went to my cousins place to work on the chassis to place the big lump in the car .
Man a lot of cutting and grinding and not much car left.
But at his scrapyard there is  a lot of spare parts to be found.
so no lack of materials here .

Very nice!
Your center horn suspension picture is the same as I did on my car way back 1993.
I never shared a picture of it simply because I thought it was so brutal. :-)

Also making the car legal for dhra regulations so i can race it everywhere.

This week lady luck was on my side a i was on a visit at my cousin car wreckyard .
and there was a audi 200 turbo automatic looking at me .
so i got hold of the forklift and airwrench and came home with a nice turbo intercoooler wastegate hoses pipes fuelpump and wastegate
and the best a good running autobox with the 3100rpm stall converter in it
I was looking for a piece like this for quite a long time .
Now i can build the converter as i planed i have 7 different codes now.
The G code is rare .
And enough parts to make it twincharge in the future.
As for the car i did some metalwork cutting and grinding
if all the little pieces are ready my other cousin wil weld them in place.
I am making good progres now
it is a verry verry lot of work and i am not taking the easy route here.
But i am getting there to build a one of a kind bug.

Thanks
gr Henri
