Hi loungers i am happy to say that have a running car !!! I did all the mock up for the Efi and supercharger and going to finish it on a mock up engine so it will be a bolt on kit. I recieved my pump rod from Frallan (BIG THANKS TO HIM) bolted the engine and tranny together and fitted an stock 1600 carb and dist unit finished loads of littlethings like brake lines axles spring plates fuel lines electric and on and on But after i filled the tranny with atf oil and gear oil I primed the whole system And the after 5.5 years i turned the key and bam!! If fired right on running like a kitten I took a sit on the coolbox that for now is my seat and pulled in gear and released the brake and it was going forward. itook it for aspin in the alley behind my house an erverything is working perfect but it was a funny feeling driving an autobox in a bug It reacts fast on the trottle like the car has no weight I am happy that it feels good The next thing to do is get the car on MOT and do a lot of testdriving on the highway And in town and country to get it relyable like brakes cooling alignment and so . And then if my wife can drive it to go shopping then its ready to build the charger and efi on . I have the feeling that this is going to be a good handiling car that can visit lots of meetings
Gr henri

Ihave no time at the moment to work on the car I need money to make it work and my work is also my passion so thats going to eat a lot of time as well I know some of you have a job as wel but the vw thing is a brain relief for some of you guys here are some pics of my work/passion to make it al work this is also the reason that when i come home my head is loaded and not into building my bug sometimes its feel like a downside for others the only see the nice side but not the oures that it takes
pic1/2 valve body rebuild and transmission rebuild
pic 3/4 converting an vintage 120 hp 6meter speedboat to an in house build chevy 6.2 liter 320 hp and loads of torque v8 ,hope to hit 100 km/h
pic 5 rebuild of two 7.4 litre v8 mercruisers hitting 110 kmh in a 10 meter boat
and a few more projects waiting in the line man i hate my job and my love for hot vw s will never go away thats one thing in life that is sure for me

Nice engine installation but not very service friendly. I prefer them like this with plenty of space around it. Very nice, especially when the engine is hot and wearing a short Have a nice summer and enjoy the boat! -BB-

I was there aswel, it was the weekend of my very first racing experience. Now I'm wondering if it was the blistering speed of my stock semiauto 1300 beetle that got me into racing or the crazy people surrounding the scene.

So since i have holyday i spend a few days on the car and i got it al dressed up and running i took it for spin around the block , and It drives very relaxed and the shifting is nice once i gif it full throttle i can see the trans oil pressure go way up And then the shiftings are firm , it wil skid the tyres 1/2nd So i can cruise it down the street and go hard on the strip with it Thats the way i wanted it to perform And my hurst pistol grip shifter is so much fun to play with I am so glad that the car is running again since 2009 Now i can do some finnese to it Now getting it ready for mot And the take it on the road In the winter i wil put the supercharger on it along with the transbrake and high stall converter Yeah!!!!! i love it

Hello Henri! Tried to see in the thread but not finding it, if you had changed the shift pattern or you are using the pistolgrip with standard pattern?
I hade the "Dutch maffia" over at my house on Wednesday for a few hours. They were on the way to SCC. Robin Blue Thunder, one more and another of your friends that I just forgot the name of, plus his Finnish girlfriend which I for some funny reason do remember the name of, Lena :-)
