Made it to CNC this morning. I was the only VW  Sad, but as usual, saw some very cool cars to make it worth the drive. Thought I would share a few of the cars to show the diversity of car lovers here behind the Orange Curtain...

Here are just a few of the Ferrari's that showed up, There were a lot of vintage ones this week...

Dustin,
cruised through the show yesterday in a original owner 69 silver nova ss, with a red 67 following behind.  We were on our way to a Nova gathering at Niick's so we didn't stop.  Didn't know about that show prior to yesterday, man there are some nice cars, as we were pulling out a silver f1 farrari was pulling in I think it was near where you parked your car.  I think alot of those cars are worth more than my house.

California is still in one piece. From the ground, it's not easy to see the fault, really. You need to look for offset streambeds, etc....

Good stuff, Dustin. I really dig that green big block Camaro. (and I can't stand most U.S. cars) But something about the look that sets it apart from ever other one that I see on the street. 'Bout time someone tapped into the Less Is More theory, such that it is.

Pretty cool Saturday AM hangout huh? I saw you leaving! I was checking both Nova's out since I have a 66. That silver car looked pretty clean! I didn't know about the Nova event.  I was parked right next to one of John L's Chryslers. I forgot to mention that I had a great time talking to John.

It was pretty cool, while we were standing there talking, a couple of different people came up and commented on the DKP sticker and spoke of old club rivalrys. I just pointed at John and told them it was all his fault!

Guys... We gotta keep working on John! He's getting weak... He's got a motor size in his mind!! It's just a matter of time now!!

The 69 Nova that Jim was in had the same vibe to it also.

the nova was like stepping back in time, original interior, paint, just put some red lines on it with custom made 15" stock rims and original hub caps. 29000 original miles, he ordered it when he got back from vietnam.

Damn it!! Sorry I missed that! I bought all my suspension and brakes from CPP last year. That silver 66 Gasser is a good friend of Schwimmers. Very cool guy with a very cool car with lots of old school pieces on it, featured in Hot Rod a few years ago. He's the Weber guru I spoke of in another thread yesterday.

Here's the current status of my heap...

Nice car, I'm going to do the susspension and brakes in the fall on mine.  you'd of gotten a 10% discount saturday.  the web sight is stevesnovasite.com, the group is a unofficial club called so cal novas (kinda like dkk).  there will be a huge bbq in early october.  I gotta meet that guy with the straight axel.

I gotta get back into the C&C groove, again. Reading this thread and seeing the pictures is motivating. Here are some shots that I took from last year when I was going more often.

John L. which Bimmer and Chrysler are yours? I'm sure that I've seen your cars there. By the way, I've always dug on the '66-'67 Novas. The guy that painted my car had a cool forest green '66 that we used to cruise in.

Woke up early and took the '67 out to Cars & Coffee, this morning. Big turn out, gorgeous weather, and some very nice cars. Only took a few pics of 'em, however. I was too busy admiring. Here's the link to the C&C site.

I'm kinda embarassed...my garage is a mess!  I won't pollute the CNC topic any more than I need to, but here's two:

Its a 22k-original mile car, but hasn't had a great last 25+ years.  I'm in the reassembly stage now, should be a decent driver-quality car when its done (I hope).
