Speedwell's scanner is down, and we are to that point in bodywork. I think the article was by Deano, where Danny Gabbard filled the peashooters. Probably in '02 or '03. Any help would be appreciated.

Its also in the restoration book HVWs out out with a blue '67 on the cover. Its a nice piece but I wonder about the lack of a heat shield on the back of the apron.

I drilled the heat shield off, filled the cutouts with sections from a beat up donor apron, and plug welded the heat shield back on. It's not rocket surgery

Well, teh apron probably wont get that hot driving it on and off the trailer anyway.
Zach, did you happen to post pics of when you filled the cutouts? I would like to see how you went about it.
Thanks,

I think there are a couple pics in AssHull's thread, other than that the rest of them are on a flash drive that I have yet to re-install after my pc went belly up. Body work has yet to be done on it, so we'll have to wait and see what the actual results are

I can scan the article if you know the issue as I most likely (it is very rare that magazines gets lost in mail but Hot VWs occasionally do) have it.
