Today I found an old Empi IMP that I owned 20yrs ago.
I loved it back then, but I had to sell it when I fell on hard times.
I always wished I'd kept it...

It doesn't look much different (sun faded and weather worn).
I'm going to make it my new chassis car.

A guy in my home town just bought his Wife a Dune buggy. They looked at several different ones before purchasing something off the internet.
They had some problems with it and heard my name at a local VW shop.
I went to the guys house to check out his issues and we got to talking about an old Blue IMP that he looked at but had turned down earlier.

It's crazy after 20yrs it ended up less than 1mi from my house. It didn't want to stray very far from it's favorite owner.
It's sentimental for sure.

Great story! My Dad has a '59 Morris Minor like that. We ran into three times in two different states and he bought it twice. I figure he's just supposed to own that car.
