The problem you have is that a 'normal' person encountering a so-called mid-life crisis will maybe hanker for something sporty but you've been there and done that a few times over so you're bound to want something different and there's nothing wrong with that. Frankly I'm surprised you haven't headed off to Norway with a wing suit but failing that and in line with what you've posted I have some suggestions many of which are pictured on this thread. A while back I found somewhere with a body for sale that would have been a very good starting point for something like this...  Going down this route you'd still have the engine behind you and your face jammed up against the windscreen so it's almost exactly the same as a Bug. One of the guys that used to hang out in London when the Highgate Raceway was still open is now running a Nostalgia FC over in the States so there's probably a route to locating all the bits you'd need too. Just a thought.... |
