Hello everyone,

I thought I would introduce myself and my car. My Name is Nick, I've been catching up on all the posts for a while now. I know a couple of you here and have spoke with a few very nice people here. My car is a 1967 Us standard beetle.  The exterior is stock, (lights, and trim minus the bumpers.) I added T-bars, 5 bolt Ansen Sprints, 3" narrowed beam w/ 2.5" drop spindles. Rear is stock height. 1776 40 w/ dells, A1 sidewinder, full flow and cooler. The Trans is stock 1-4 with a 3.88:1 r/p. I Re-wired the car with a Wiringworks loom. Old bugpack t handle shifter, sometimes I swap out the factory steering wheel with a grant GT wood grain wheel. Hopefully Next year she will get a full makeover.

Hmmm weird color.   Cheesy

Cool car, looks like it sits real nice.  I think I've said this before, but the Ansens work for me!

Thanks Guys!!!

I am surprised There aren't more ansens on cal lookers. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough. It seems like a 20 to 1 ratio to BRM's (haha)  at the shows. Nico86 shared some pics he has found. I have disc brakes for the front and T3 rear drums for the rear, I wasn't sure if the 4 lug mags would change the look. Some have more of a dish to them vs. the flatter 5 lug wheels.

Javabug hows you car?

I like it too, and it's something different than BRMs or fuchs.

Fair.  Needs some love this year.  There's some extra horsepower just around the bend, as well.

Ahhh, extra horse power is always needed. We were coming back from a show today, headed south on the freeway, I was trying to keep up with my buddies 2332 powered giha, A 62 rag top with a 1915 and a Glass roadster. Man those guys were cookin'. My little 1776 kept up, crusig at about 3300 rpm. But I think its time to put the 82mm crank on the shelf to use.

Also scored a late model vented deck lid to cut in the vents on a 67 lid at the show today. It was very nice today.

Looks good to me, as long as you don't put them in front of the car. They are in their right place. Wink
