I've seen that clip before. It is frightening shit if you really get down to it. The unbelievable power of communication technology has wonderful and (as stated) unforseen positive aspects. And yet, that same technology can twist and bend reality and influence thoughts and actions in a non-productive or negative direction. I have my own thoughts on the subject, but how many of the billions of internet transactions (not numbers-wise but percentage-wise) are truely an exchange or presentation of pertinent information? No hard numbers here, but I believe a very small percentage (read VERY). As a comparison, take this forum for an example.
Honestly, how many of the thousands of posts and replies (percentage-wise) actually contain useful information that some, or maybe all, can benifit from? Kinda like today's hula-hoop. Just stand there in one place and have the ring go around you as if you were the center of the universe............
