hi guys,
a quick question...
i dont have a detonation detection device,
so how can i set the advance curve in a safe way?
can you really clearly hear it  when it starts pinging( also with engine under load) , or would this be too crude?
thanks, Peter

Hi Peter, i have the same problem because my 4th gear is to tall. YES, you can really hear it as off 2300 rpm (more or less) It's a very hard noise, like you hear every cylinder working. Try to advance youre ignition as much as possible. (towards Top Dead Centre) Hope it helps.
