So I was reading an old issue of Ultra VW About Dave Conklin's find and the relinquishing of that dream to the former owner.

Just wondering what is going on with the car and if there are any pics of the reconstruction of this historic car ?

Anyone have the issue of Volkswagen Greats with this car ?

Dave Conklin had an article in Utra VW about it.He bougtht it then found out that it had been stolen from the previous owner .Then sold it back to him. Just wondering if there was any progress on it since then.

Anybody know anything?   Huh   Dave? Keith?

I can't add detailed info, but.............I did meet with Bill at last November's SEMA show. I was stoked and had him sign a business card of mine. He was totally amazed that anybody remembered what he did "way back then"....Kinda cool> When I walked up and asked for him, his son said "why?". It turned into a  "I remember when" thang......He's moved on.

I remember that car being on the samba a couple of years ago. I recall from that article that Bill Mitchell isnt interested in the old days anymore, and isnt fussed about recalling them to people?!
