Some of the old JSC catalogs, etc. showed K8 Engle @ 304 deg duration.
Did Engle change the grind at some point?
I think older Berg catalogs showed it @ 304 deg too

just looking for useless information.

I can't confrim this Jim, but I seem to remember someone talking about an "old FK8" cam on the Cal_look a few years back.

It make sense to me, because most grindes back in the day had lots more duration than they do today.
The spring technology wasn't near what it is today.

I did some work on an old SuperVee motor a while back. It represented "state of the art" back in the early days.
It was an 85.5 X 82 SPG (un-pinned). Solex 40-P11 carbs on Gene Services manioflds. Stock valved heads with (what we call today) a mild port job and single high rev springs.
The cam had some super high duration # (can't remember exactly), but lifted less than .400".
Motor was amazingly snappy for such a long duration cam.
Somehow, the smaller valve heads have a "de-tuning" affect on the cams manners.

Yes, the old cam was simply the "K8".  Slightly more advertised duration, same lift.  It was a kick-ass cam profile, just like the newer FK8.

Roger Crawford also is big into the "old" K-8s.

I know this motor, and can attest that it is a hoot to drive.  Very cool!
