We had a nice weekend . This is how i like it , racing , not only making time trails ..
Peter Gierlich with his green streetcar made it to the finals with a dailin of 11,2 , i had the same driving the engine of our black 67 in my car .
Looking forward to the july event..

Udo dont expect to see vw guys dragracing at drachten,they prefer to spend 300 euros to go to chimay instead of spending some euros to dragrace at a pro track  |

Next weekend will be the last race for this season at drachten . Now since our black 67 does 11's i will race it in proet . I did some work on it to make it legal for official races . Peter with his green machine will be there too

Yes , Peter is trying to catch a 12,0 in Public race with an 11 sec car . Not easy , his best et is 11,2 so far . No we are not at Hockenheim . I wish we where in Norway , but without race engine in my car it makes no sense . Next weekend racing is more exciting...so everything is ok so far

We had a nice weekend with 9 qualifyings. But not for me , broke an axel in first qualifying . but on saturday best et was 11,6 and Peter did some 11,1 passes. i have to do some work on the suspension of the car , what a difference on a prep. track .Looking forward to next year racing at Drachten with more beetles .

Udo, Was great to have met you and we had a great chat. My cousin will contact you about an engine he wants to build. The axle looked bad,was it the traction compound in the beginning that you misjudged? I remember the first time i ran on traction compound my axle broke too.
