Volksworld feb 2007. Irelands mighty white cool Cal-looker......................look at the photo of the engine (pix from left side of engine). It does not get any cleaner!! The short manifolds, the 010 ditributor, the DDS carb linkage, black and bare magnesium. Clean, simple pure function.......That is hardcore. So come on and let us know the insight on hard core engine bays of your dream or memories!!!

wow, i can't wait for other people to post their number ones!! interesting thread!  Smiley

funnily, i didn't like that engine when i turned the page! way too clean for me.

i bumped into this pic today:


i'm not saying it's the best looking engine of all, no no, but i really like the retro look! to it.
i can't think of any particular engines, but i loving seeing 010 etc. no msd or mallory dists for me.  Wink

Greg Brinton's 2387 Supeflo engine has always been one of my favorites, followed by Jeff Denham's 3066cc (90x103) type 1 sleeper engine.

John Dean's Super Beetle 1776 IDA motor has always been my favorite.
