I'm at work so I have to double check this evening but I noticed a nice car in the hot vw's sep 1981.  There is a report on a vw club and with the line up of the cars you see a strip warrior, I think it is called "bad news" ...  like I said, I will double check this evening.

More pictures of this car?  It's a metallic brown car, with gold striping, basic, a little bit like the red lee leighton car...  just a name on the door and some striping,

Always loved that one. I really dig the colour and the tinted glass.
Only the steeringwheel looks wrong.

Very nice car, does somebody know if it still exist ?

Allow me to apologize beforehand, as some of which reading this post may be insulted. Sorry 'bout that. Yes, I do indeed know where Bad News is. I have know this for the past 18 years. The owner is not interested in selling the car. Although if it were to be sold, personally I would like to be sold to an enthusiast that would have (1) Possess the time required to campaign (race) and show this relic, (2) Have the enthusiasm to campaign (race) and show "Bad News" (3) Definitely have the bank roll to meet the commitment of owning such a relic (4) and I would prefer that an American citizen become the new owner, as there have been far too many of our historic race cars leaving our shores. With that said, let it be known that I am not unreasonable. Yes, I do realize that many of these icons which now reside on foreign shores, are now pampered. They have become an art piece, suspended in time, without decay. That my friends is honorable. In our conversations, I do believe that I did mention to one notable, where "Bad News" is. I mention this as this person qualifies on 3 of the 4 objectives.

Respectfully,

Volkmasters! Funny, I am a member of a club called Volkmasters, founded in -82 if I am correct. Swedens oldest Cal-look club, but we have a qiute low profile on the intrenet.
The members has a bunch of 10, 11 and 12 second cars.

I guess the name come from the California Volkmasters.
