Looks similar to a car run back in the early '90s by the Canales Brothers here in Texas. Back then, that car was called "Sliced".
I'll see if I have a photo or two I can scan.

Not the same car.  Sliced has no drip rails and the other car does.  Similiar chop though.

Talked to the seller........said he bought it to possibly build a rat rod out of it but never got around to doing it.

According to the seller.......it's an ex Cali car, named after the Footloose movie that came out in 84.  It has a dropped tubing front axle, he said front suspension was coil-overs like the simple buggy ones (not on the car) unlike the early cars that had sprint car type torsion bar with small shocks.  hood is not the original one on the car when he bought it (seems it took a hike when towing down the highway).
