One-piece windows
«

hi,
I'm just wondering, if there is THE method to make one-piece windows for a 4/64 sedan? I would really like to have them, but I've heard several stories about the troubles these things cause. Of course I want it all: they must be rain- and windproof, operated with just ONE hand
and fit into the '64 doors somehow. Any hints?
Do these kits on

(no. 845 201 111BC) do a good job?
Cheers,
Andi

i too am curious about one piece windows but not sure what to do.
Do they only look good when all the trim is removed?? Im happy to have no trim on window rubbers but i kinda like the side trim. Does anyone have any picts with a one piece windows and side trim together..... and if that pict is of a black oval, even better!!!!!
Decisions, decisions!

It's true, you need to do some mods to you're doors... there's a metal tab that you need to remove or bend over.
And you have to drill holes to mount the window lickers. Mine aren't leak proof, but I guess doors aren't ever 100% leak proof.
Here are my one piece windows, allthough they look cool I ain't sure I'd do it again.

In my opinion the one piece needs to match the rest of the window rubber at least. But it makes more sense to have them on a de chromed car.
I installed these windows in my first car, a 1303S. I had no trouble with water inside the car, but I remember making sure that the drainage holes in the bottom of the doors were clear before starting to use the car. And they were one hand operated :-)

A lot easier to do on a 65 and up but much harder on a pre 65.
