That's a shame!! I always loved this car, my greatest condolences to both racers! Did a axle snap? Spool?

Hi Jon,

both cars have a spool. I gues the reason for Jürgens car going to the right was that the bow for the muffler obviously touched the ground pretty hard but nobody really knows... Huh
Bye,

My deep simpathy to Jürgen, hope he soon will find the motivation to just build the car exactly back to what it was last friday!

Normally, I don't like posting videos of accidents, but may be it shows some people that there's a reason why we have a tech inspection and safety rules (for both, drivers and spectators) at Bitburg. I had some discussions with certain people this weekend... Video stolen from http://alligatorpush.blogger.de/

http://www.youtube.com/v/BXViSYw7CT0

It's been said before, fortunately nobody got hurt. All the best wishes to Jürgen for the rebuild of his nice car.

I also like to mention that there's a new Bitburg track record. Dany Burger from Rödersheim/Germany did a 8.505 @ 240 km/h run with his Corvette. Not too bad for a unprepped track...

Saludos,
Ole

Here are the winners of the DFL402 Cal Look Challenge:

1.: Tom Ratzek, best ET 10,861s

2.: Dirk Kunold, best ET 13,045s

3.: Karin Tritz, best ET 12,222s

3. und 2. place racing :-)

We'd like to thank everybody participating and think the line-up for judging the cars
early saturday night was a very nice alternation and a very good chance to talk with the owners!
We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did and would be very happy to see even more cars next time.

A big »thank you!« for the support goes out to 1on1-Motorsports and Dragracer Magazin.

Sincerely yours,

DFL VW CLUB

Hi everybody,

as said a BIG thank YOU for everybody who participated. It was such a cool weekend with nice&cool people, fast&shining cars and great weather the whole weekend long. The track was good as everytime and there was enough time and room to beat your best ET. The dark side was of course the accident of Jürgen & Otto...

Next year episode II of DFL 402 will follow.Be there or be square!

@Nicolas: Was a pleasure to meet you, those to typ-3`s made a perfect picture in front of the tree Grin
