As some of you might have seen, I'm busy builing my own looker/race inspired car. I started from an original deluxe 66 model, but I always liked the bare spartan look of a standard model. You know, less is more and all that.

So I discarded all the clips and rails and what not to attach the deluxe headliner. The only part I'm not so fond of is where next to the rear window, the clips were stamped out in the shell. It looks a bit weird now, still don't know whether to leave as is or bondo it to death.

However, the reason for the post, I want to finish the headliner in the standard way, only the middle part of the roof covered. And I'm looking for such a small headliner, but to no avail. Does any one know where to buy this? Preferably in black perforated vinyl.

"Himmelservice" Oppermann have the best headliners money can get:

Even Standard! I really like those std. h.liners only the installation is a bit tricky. I have installed one at my club mate Christian`s 66.

Fabs, could you take a picture of your B pillar? Like the photo above, just lower and with the door open. Thanks Smiley

There's supposed to be a rubber moulding over the flange on the B-pillar.

I was wondering about that. That would be a dangerous sharp edge. Probably just pinch welt, like what is used around pop out windows? If so, it's cheap and can be found at all auto upholstery shops.

I suppose that would work, but the correct molding is "standard only" and very hard to find.
I'll try and post a pic of some I recently bought for one of my standards.

On the B-pillar of my car I put some rubber you use on edges of doors to protect it from scratches, you find it in most auto shops.

Here are some pics of a pair of NOS genuine VW moldings for the Standard model B-pillar I bought recently.
