I'm up north in the East Bay Area---Livermore, Ca.  (about 45 miles east of San Francisco)

Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry if I didn't see it, but what type of case and modifications on the engine? And is it painted? Out of the car, it appears to be bare. But in the car, looks painted.

The case is a CB Performance AS41 Dual Relief Super Case.  It's been clearanced to fit a 82mm Crank and has a large German oil pick-up tube.  It's also has the welded plate behind the #3 cylinder for added strength.  The case uses standard size bearings.  The crank and rods were also new, so all bearings are still standard.

Right before I installed the motor, I masked the engine just so that the exposed portion of the case is painted.  (satin black engine enamel)  basically, the only part of the case that's painted is what you can see in the photos.  From under the car, everything is still bare aluminum/magnesium thus better cooling/heat dispersion

Thanks, again. The engine is tempting to buy. One last question... sorry. I see that you've put 1,000 miles on it since the build. When was it built?

I built the motor the summer of 2007.  I got it in the car the day before I moved to San Francisco for school (end of August 07') .  I left the car at my folks house and would drive it around town each weekend when I'd visit (usually to the coffee shop and then a lap around the town and back)  It's seen regular use the past 1.5 years, but nothing major.
