Frenchy, that's a great picture of you and the car. Since I first met you at Les Purnell's, (30 yrs. ago) I've always enjoyed seeing what you do to your cars.

I know it wont take long for someone to call me. I will be in Irvine where the Classic is held this weekend Oct 3 rd for the all Japanese car show and I will have my 1958 Toyopet Crown and they are schedule to do a shoot for the Japanese magazine

Well now that I have the 32 Hot Rod Lincoln about done as far as detail goes. I am ready to start on the NSU starting to get bored with no projects in sight . Yesterday I stop by Competition Engineering and talk to Dan Lawson
in regard to the chassis I need to build for the NSU ( IRS ) is the way I want to go with this one. So stay tune and we will see what will go on. I will post pictures as soon as we start on it.

    Thanks

I've never been to the Garden Grove one... but I sometimes hit the Donut Derelicts one in H.B. My best friend of almost 40 years helped start that event. It's been going strong for many years. Please post up when you're going to be out with the car. I'd love to see it in person.

Or, if you're close to Peoria, I'm out there a couple times a year to see my sister and friends that live in AZ.

This past weekend I took the 1932 Hot Rod to our local Saturday night cruise night at the Scottsdale Pavillion in Scottsdale AZ. But this Saturday we were told if you wanted to have a good space you needed to arrive early in the morning to be safe and if you wanted to have a good spot to park your car. So I arrived at 3:00 AM and I was the second person there. I had parked the car near the lights so that in the evening the car would stand out better. We were also told that Barrett Jackson were going and attend this Car Show and pick one of their favorite car with an award. Well 4:00 PM some of my friends Hot Rodders were pointing out to me that the crew of Barrett Jackson were walking around and looking at cars and a few minutes later sure enough here was the crew looking at my Hot Rod Lincoln under the chassis and looking everywhere and talking to me asking questions. Steve the CEO of Barrett Jackson had pulled me aside and told me that my Hot Rod was his style of Hot Rod and how Detailed it was and how clean it look and he also like the fact that I had installed a Lincoln V12 engine if he only new my nick name ( Doctor Detail  LOL ). He also asked me if I was going and be around for a while I replied I would be here for a few more hours. An hour later they called my name on the speaker to announce that I was the pick of the night for Barrett Jackson and they also announced that this car had a great look and that everyone needed to go and check it out. For me to have been given an award by the Barrett family was way too cool. I was given a nice size trophy with the Barrett Jackson name on the trophy. On my way back to the car I was amazed how many people had gathered around the car after the award was given. I know that a lots of pictures and videos were taken through out the day. Also talked to Speed Vision and Hemming Motor News people. In all it was a great show.

   Thanks
   Frenchy

Frenchy, your car is stupéfier!

I don't think I need say anything else.

Oh, what mileage has the Zephyr motor got on it - as I heard they need a rebuild after 30K. I'm sure you've been right through it, and ultimately  - who cares - it's insane!

As Frenchy is one of the acknowledged engine experts when it comes to V12 Zephyrs, I think we can safely assume it's been done right. But, as you say, who cares - it if went 'bang' what a tale that would make! Cheesy

Thank You to all of you for the nice comments about the car. I have built so far 14 of these V12 and I know all of the issues they had back in the days. I am in the process of having to build 2 more of them since my Hot Rod has been out. I like all cars in general.

   Thanks
