The Mustang

I thought I would share some pics of my Uncle's '67 Mustang. This is an all original, two owner car. I have known about this car since I was 12 when my uncle took me to visit the original owner. She was an older lady that had bought it new. It was always garaged kept and rarely driven. About six years ago she became unable to drive the car she offered to give it to my uncle. Not wanting to take advantage of her he insisted on paying her something for it and they eventually agreed on the price of $500. The car has 85,000 miles on the odometer and the only rust I could find was a half dollar size hole in the passenger's door. The car is a six cylinder/ three speed model but it runs great. The lady was meticulous in servicing the car and kept all the receipts, including the original window sticker and build sheet. My uncle, who is in his 70s, drives the car about once a month and keeps it in a garage. I told him if he ever decided to sell it that he had to give me first shot at it but I doubt he ever will.

Cool, Louis. When I was in high school, building my '66 Beetle, one of my friends bought a '66 Mustang with the same engine and transmission as your uncle's car. It was originally white, but he painted it dark metallic blue and we kept that thing fully detailed. He didn't want the big V8 engine, so it was a perfect car for him. I have pictures of it somewhere. Thanks for sharing.

That brings back memories.... My first car was a blue '67 Mustang coupe with an A-Code 289 2bbl.
