As much as I hate to admit it, but I broke down and bought a Mac powerbook pro to replace my desktop.

For the record, it wasn't a windows issue... my hard drive spit up all over itself.

It was a 500gb and all I have in stock is 160gb and 250gb I either have to order a 500 and wait or make due with a 250.

Drives are cheap these days. I have seen 500g drives for less than $50.

It's not the cost so much as the wait. I have to get it through our purchasing dept. who needs the proper paperwork approved then they order it through CDW. Take at least until the end of the week. IT would be easier just to buy it out of my pocket
