Following on from the success of the first drag day earlier in the year, we are pleased to announce two further all VW, all aircooled, all high performance Drag Days this year and invite as many Loungers as possible to attend and hopefully put your cars through their paces on the track.

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, they both fall within a week of each other.

The first of the two upcoming dates will be at York Raceway over the weekend of 29th - 31st August - the Bank Holiday weekend.

Costs and details are as follows:

Tickets can be purchased on the gate. No advance booking is required.

Gates open at 6pm on Saturday evening to allow participants and spectators to arrive on Saturday, get set up and enjoy the atmosphere. Racing will be taking place all day Saturday and all day Monday.

Entry to York raceway for the weekend is £12. To race is an additional £60 - this is for two days of racing. Please register to race in advance by emailing drag-day@live.co.uk with details of your car, spec, a picture and any previous times run.

Please note, York raceway requires all racers to be wearing a crash helmet on the strip.

The second of the dates is the week after, September 6th at Santa Pod raceway, at the VW Action show.

Concession prices for Drag Day participants apply courtesy of VW Action organiser Brian Burrows. £40 will buy you Peak Performance racing for a day AND an entry ticket for the weekend of VW Action, AND free night racing.

Tickets should be purchased for this event in advance. For booking details please email drag-day@live.co.uk with details of your car, spec, a picture and any previous times run.

Sounds like a few are keen already.

Hope to be on my combine sometime soon and as its so bloody far from Cornishwall I can't make York.

But slap my ass and call me sally, I should be making it the Pod for some VW Action  Grin

Anyone got any slick advice?  Ran a 14.2 at Bug Jam and desperate to get into the 13's but struggling for traction of the start.

These will be reserved for you at the Santa Pod gate for collection upon your arrival.
