good job kev
Cheers fabs, my first wheelie
Got to thank russ for letting me abuse blue obsession all weekend & ray for fixing it after it spun a bearing & wrecked a rod on my second pass on friday...
I think EBI 3 was better than expected for a number of reasons but mainly due to the huge effort put in by kobus, mike, freddie & everyone involved behind the scenes - thanks for the effort guys, you did yourselves proud
It was also good to catch up with the friends you don`t see often enough (however briefly ...
) mat, sal, ron, glenn, fabs, js, nicolas, lids & ks to mention just a few - see you all soon

ah what can i say that hasn't been said? it was great. i was so glad to finally be able to take the car to EBI and race it a bit.
sorted out the carbs indeed as i ran a 16.33, which is 0.4 better then what i ran at SCC.
the gearbox is now a bit more shitty as before and shifts from 1st to 3rd seem to be harder now
i don't think Lee was ever in front off me on either off the races we had
, good to see you were motivated and hope to beat you soon buddy.
the awards were a blast (even if u was the only type3 yes) no one said you can't build one yourself and take it to the track
. and i got to kiss Monica !!!
but what really made it so fun was all the people i have been talking to. all the friends you 'meat' again. and the fun you can have together. see you guys soon.
thanks guys for making this all unforgettable
the naked guy on saturday was somewhat bizar to say the least...

I think that sums it up nicely, it really was a great weekend thanks to massive effort on the part of many people. I’m not sure if we have a shot of your wheelie though we do have a shot of Ray and a flying dog, I think the breakages and the sun finally got to him! Nice driving Kev! There’s a lot of good moments to remember but your wheelie is one as was Paul’s reunion with the Stutt Bee and seeing the European Bug-In car run 10.63 was pretty cool too, then there was the….
Anyway, cool! Sal’s going to put some pictures up shortly.

The Wünderwaffe line up on saturday evening. My car really does stand out
Only cars missing are Nicolas (white 67) and Turtle (blue 59). Some other cars are in the works and should be finished some day.
Next is Peter/Ruff eying up Komori's Inch Pincher.
And finally what should have been Miss European Bug In this year given the attention she had: Poppy, the Great Dane, going crazy on the track, starting the reverse quarter mile with a four legged wheelie.
Nice to meet you,
I was the bloke with the Blue 69 Bay just down from you
here are a few of my shots
and a couple of my van from

hello Jesus, so you were the one causing all the mayhem in the pitlanes
Were you amongst the guys in the split van kidnapping Dyno Don for a scary ride of the staging lanes as well
Thank god Kobus came to the rescue, what would EBI be without the Don
This is you racing and a shot of the pits where the busses were taken care of.
And then one for Lee as well, you scooting through the pits, giving ladies hairy rides, or was it the other way around

And finally a pick of some of the prize winners here on the lounge.
Sven, winning best after 66 and fastest racer (I think),
Sven was quickest N/A but still miles behind the EBI car on only its 4th pass after revamp running 10.63@128.5 mph
watch out for this car now,its going to be quick when we actually do some tuning on it,rather than just put it together and turn up with it,the only time it moved under its own power before EBI was onto the trailer.
It was a good weekend for all of us at VW gasser garage with all the cars running well,Paul schley running 12.04 in the Stutt bee taking some serious balls,Keith ran 12.16 in the Lee leighton oval,Kevs first wheelie
and Underdog2 running so well all weekend despite us all beating it to death
cheers richie,uk
