I have a question for you european guys. I´m looking for stronger swingaxle gearbox for my VW 181 (Thing) with 2276 engine. I realise something like 4.12 RP and 0.89 or 0.82 fourth with welded gears, HD sideplatesand strong differential would be nice. Who is good gearbox builder in Germany, UK? I want to keep down shipping costs from the States and a hassle f shipping such heavy part so I prefere european region.

Thanks for advices.

Pete Englezos at Cogbox or John Maher at JMR get my vote, although I've only got personal experience of a Cogbox-built box.

Pete at Cog Box, all the boxes we have for our cars at home are from him. I think it's fair to say they're proven (into the 9s) and he regularly ships all over so I'm sure he'll be able sort something out.  Smiley Cool
