We can't force ya to have fun

« on: July 20, 2009, 06:06:41 am »

We're planning a low stress, high fun cruise for next Sunday July 26th.

Won't cost you anything but gas and lunch money.

We're meeting at Joe's Crab Shack in Newport at 10:00. We're not gonna stick around too long. VWs are preferred but not required.

Lunch is going to be at Beachfire in San Clemente. If you haven't been there, you're in for a real treat!

All we ask is that you give us an idea if you're coming so we can let the restaurant know how many expect.

Darn, I was really planning on attending this. But you posted low stress and high fun. Where's the attraction in THAT?

 Grin

Seriously... count me in for two people.

I just drove from mac arthur to laguna canyon on pch and to no ones surprise the Newport cops had no less than 6 people pulled over in their stretch of that drive. I guess I don't have to stress that the "no burnout claus" is in effect

Hey how about some non DKK fools to join us!

What..... you afraid of the police?HuhHuh ha.

We dont need no stinkin' badges.......

As James Brown so eloquently said.... "Get on up now!"

One more thing...... I spoke with the GM at Beachfire and we are, how you say. "hooked up".  There will be some HUGE savings on the $$$$ for all of us when it comes to eating and such.  Im looking into parking out front together still.  Sheeeet, nice drive practically free food, and a day at the beach in San Clemente......  okay, works for me.

No reason to even worry about the police or making payments to any city's economy. Long as everyone doesn't engage in any feckless driving antics, everything will be fine. There's a time and place for those sorts of things. And Newport Beach is certainly is NOT one of them. I knew that back when I had my first VW.

Looking forward to that FOOOOOOOOD. To everyone that's never had the pleasure of dining at Beachfire, you're in for a real treat. Some real kickass food, service, and a nice selection of barley pops of the mid to dark variety. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, bier.
