Kev's recently turbocharged bug made its strip debut at Bug Jam at the weekend and ran some impressive times straight off the bat, best was a 12.19 @ 111mph.

It was a great time which knocked John Walklett off the no.1 spot of our club ET board (see the blog), but John was obviosly a bit revved up after that and went straight out in his 2387/NOS and got the top spot back with a 12.1 EDIT: 12.07 @ 108 mph...
Here's his car (no photo of it at Bug Jam though, this is an old one)>

Did Kev's car catch fire Saturday? We towed back a white turbo'd car that caught alight at the end of the shutdown area! Luckily the fire crew were on it like a shot and it looked like nothing major was damaged..?

Yes Steve it did, but it seems like nothing serious has burnt, it was an electricaal fire and fortunately it was put out before any fuel lines were damaged, I'm sure Kev was grateful for the tow!

Well done to the crew who responded so quickly!

Saw Kevs car on the way back on Sunday morning (when we were on our way!), couldn't work out who's it was! Looks good! John's really neds a cage though running those times! Wink

I don't know if you remember it when it was Paul Beardmore's as well Neil? Its been around a bit, and fairly consistently a 12 second car when in Pauls hands (although with a different setup).

The weekend of Bug Jam also saw two club prospects run qualifying times and they've now been voted in - Carl and Lisa - welcome to the Rennwagens! feel free to have a look at the club blog for a little more info on the weekend and an updated ET board.
