Just after a little advice on which brands you guys recommend for rear tyres in size 205/70/15 mounted on 6" fuch. I'm running 4.5" with 145 xzx on the front and wondered what you guys think would complement these.
thanks

Not sure really, I ran 205/70 Firestone F560s for a couple of years, but they are reinforced and are very very heavy tires.. Actually most 205/70 tires are reinforced and ment for vans and other heavy vehicles.

Since you have Michelins up front, it just makes sense to get some out back too! I cant stand mis-matched tires!!!

ah! you're the si that was featured in ultravw about half a year ago, the 5" narrowed beam article! i loved the pics of your 66 there! it looked very clean and unharmed (until you started on it)  Grin
i see you dumped the 2cv tyres after all?  Tongue
was it tricky on the roundabouts?

When I imported the car I planned to run it as a Resto-cal for a year until funds allowed me to build an engine and Cal-look the baby. Well the time has come, the 5" narrow beam has been replaced by a 2". 145 xzx are now fitted up front, gearbox and engine parts are on order.

Lowfast, I don't think I'd be as worried about your tires (tyres?) as that invisible lugnut you're showing.

mr javabug,

Yeah since then I learned the hard way, allthough it wasn't the lugnut but the missing splitpen in the axle nut that gave me trouble...
like loosing rear wheel Angry
pic was taken at 200 km/h on the dyno, lucky it didn't flew off then!!
