What are those red things on the vents?

They're little clip on deflectors that actually divert air onto the windscreen rather than somewhere near it.

Found them at EBI 2011. Not exactly a hardcore cal look part, but they seem to do a neat job when the weather turns.

Great looking car! That engine is wonderful  Smiley

Tell us more about the car, chassis/engine specs?

1300S 1973modell
Fully restored, body is stock except from day mouldings wings.

Engine:
2275cc
Home ported 44/37 044 heads
Turbo thomas one of exhaust 45mm
45mm dellorto drla (home made linkage)
JPM Raptor cam
Thorsten pieper lifters and alu pushrods
hvx modified engine block.
modified 1.4 rockers with oil squirters.
original but modified cooling.

193hp and 260nm but the A/F was around 9,5-10,5 so it can probably go over 200 hp with new jets.
Will late be converted to EFI with home made roller throttle bodies, carbs is the limiting factor at 6000 rpm.

Suspension:
Home made Puma 4cm shortened and lowering spindels.
Two sets of caster shims and offset camber nuts.
Red koni in the front and Yellow at the rear.
22mm at front and 27mm at rear adjustable whiteline sway bars, modified with uniball for corner weight adjustment.
Modified z-bar with uniballs for adjustable rear ride hight.
Home made torsion bushings made of delrin plastic (better than urethan).
Home made kaefer cup bars.

wheels:
Porsche/Audi RS2
Cup1 17" * 7" rims ET52
Michelin Pilot Super sport tires 205/45/17

Brakes:
Front:
Porsche 911 993 Biturbo "Big reds" calipers
Porsche 928S 328*32mm rotors
Porsche 944 hubs (modified)
Home made caliper adapter, home made bearing adapter and modified spindle.

Rear:
Porsche 944T calipers
Porsche 944 backing plates
Porsche 924s hubs
Some small modifications nedded for the bearing.

911 SC seats and Momo prototipo steering wheel with modified vw horn button.
That would be a short write up with probably many things forgotten. Wink

Thanks for the infos, that's really impressive. And I love the stock look of the body Smiley

How is the red/yellow Koni combo feeling compared to 4 reds all around?

Works good for me (but the rear shocks are older), planning to upgrade the torsion bars to 27mm soon and adjust the sway bar a little bit harder, the modified z-bar is now preloaded, but will later be adjustet for negativ preload.
Car sits very flat and controlled in fast corners and brakes so good that it hurts my face.  Grin
1 finger steering is enough when going 180+ km/t.
