Last weekend, we spent a great day with our VW friends. In the afternoon, we drove for several hours around central Switzerland, took a ferry and finally ended up at a cool place called the Beach Bar, where I invited to the annual LUFTKRAFT Cruise Night. Check it out... for more pics go to

Everybody met at the Seerestaurant in Zug, saturday high noon  Cool

Participants arrive from all over Switzerland

Cal Look sedans, type 3s and even three Type 34 Ghias!

My Type 34 is gonna lead the pack

First stop at the Tell's Platte, the place where William Tell jumped out of the boat and... well I don't remember the whole story  Undecided

Ferry time

Lunch and ice cream break at a nice restaurant

In the evening, everybody met at the 18th LUFTKRAFT Cruise Night!

Reto's bitchin cal look 1302

Engine trouble forced him to trailer his looker

Nice interior

This ragtop would make for a great cal looker!

Type 3 and 34 galore

Finally lowered again (Philip was driving his oval as a stocker for way too long...)

My girlfriend's Ghia

They don't get much lower

Switzerland's first traditional cal looker, did a 12,6 at Bitburg a couple of weeks ago

Another Ghia owned by a Lady

VWs in all sizes and shapes

This ambulance is UNRESTORED!!

Still one of my favorites

WOW! Some really cool pictures, here. That 1302 is TOO COOL. The California license plate is from 1984, by the way. I bought my first new car that year and that plate is real close to mine. Still have my front unused plate from that car.

Very cool but if it were me I'd be keeping that Type 34 Ghia well away from any water!  Shocked

This photo is great.  The colors of the cars reminds me of an old postcard.
