on the 1st august in 1976 Niki Lauda crashed at the Nurnburg ring.

A rabbit and a snake came upon each other in a field..........
The snake says, you have long ears, a pink nose, and white fur....... You must be a rabbit.
The rabbit says, you have smoothe skin and no ears............. you must be Niki Lauda





Doh!  Did I just say that?

I certainly hope you are laughing.  My racer Uncle used to tell me that one.  I got sprayed with Niki's victory champagne a long time ago at Long beach gran prix when it was (way back) Forumla One.  Cool due, fast as hell.  Too bad he got torched.

The version I was told as a kid had a turtle and a rabbit 

That's him in Nurburgring in July, while other "display drivers" were using helmet Niki had a Ferrari(?) cap 

(though not sure how cool he is due to his biased commentary on F1)
