My son has a lot to live up to when it comes to cars but he has hassled me for a bug for sometime (hes only 8 !) so i decided to see what a US Spec 67 would do for him.....

Well he got it yesterday and today well look below..............

Sone wants his first bug, great idea me thinks, helps him to get the bug "so to speak"

So we get a cherry 67 from my good friend Larry Mck.

within a day of arrving the bunpers are off and the plans are discussed.........

16 months on and where are we !!!! Standby.

Very cool.  Does everyone across the pond have brick paver driveways?  I never see plain concrete or asphalt driveways like most people have in the US.  I like the pavers better.

OK Trond Thanks for helping and moving the post< i should have just asked, thanks anyway.

So 18 months on the car was stripped and sent for painting, it need NO welding or body repairs it was 99% perfect, slight dents in doors and wings but all original pannels still being used, the refit is underway...... Volksworls only 10 weeks away, and my wee boy is not the quickest !  Wink

Anyway some photos  (PS i Know its not a traditonal cal look or even modern cal look but it is what he wants and im sure he will LEARN......)
