Remembering Woodstock - 40 years later

Rock music, VW Bugs...all that stuff is great part of my life as long as I can remeber.
When I was a kid, my father uset to drive 1972-'73 VW 1200 (Sparkaefer model) and when he was younger, he played rythm guitar in a popular rock band in ex- Yugoslavia.
All that made great influence on my lifestyle, and music that a listen - most of the time that's a good old rock music.
I listen to the music of those rock bands for about 26-27 years (now I'm 30)...and that still sounds fresh and nice...you can't beat classics.
For my age (I still consider myself young) am aware of many good bands from that time...
Some of my favorite bands or musicians from then (in no particular order) are:
Jimi Hendrix
Grateful Dead
The Rolling Stones
The Doors
The Beatles
Pink Floyd
Carlos Santana
Crosby, Stilly, Nash &Young
Led Zeppelin
The Band
The Who
Ten Years After
Neil Young
Bob Dylan

Of course, I was a teenager in the ninties, so I had to have my own favorite groups of rockers like:
Nirvana
Pearl Jam
Soundgarden
Alice in Chains
U2
R.E.M.

But all that is something that goes well with aircooled VW lifestyle...
After I finished high scool and went to university, that was a time when my interest for everything aircooled began to grow. My grandpa left me his VW Bug and in a little different shape, I still own the car today. To be exactly, bug is awaiting a good restoration work this autumn...

Reason for starting this topic here is very obvious - I beleive that some of you have attended on original Woodstock concert in 1969., and today is 40 years since it has happened.
Please, share your memories, thoughts, and even music recommendations...

My family had a summer place just outside Monticello, in Mongaup Valley, a few miles from Max Yasgur's farm.  I don't remember much other than the crowds, and a few songs from the time.
