I've seen pics of those Mini manifolds, I want to hear one run!
And the last pic... I thought it was a Mazda rotary, but what's with the one blocked off barrell??

A friend of mine in high school autocrossed a 1275 Mini that was tuned to kill. Had a 48DCOE coming through firewall into the cabin. If the motor backfired through the intake you'd bbq your knees. Sounded awesome when we wound that little thing out...such a trip to look at the dash and see air stacks.

I knew a guy in high school that raced those, too... but your story is way better, Jim. That's AWESOME.

His name wasn't Marshall was it? This guy in Newark had a Mini with a sidedraft Weberthat poked through into the glovebox. Same guy had an MG Midget and he always wore a leather football helmet while driving it. One day I asked "What's with the helmet?" and he replied "It's a convertible...duhh!".

No, that's an Formula 3 1000cc engine, in a Lotus or something else from the 60`
They use a half IDA on their ford engines, really screamers....
Photo is a Tecno, Formula 3 1000cc, from 1967
Greetings,
Dirk

It's Ole's lawnmower!
No it's not!
My lawnmower has two IDA's, using all four throats...
Dirk is right, it's a 1000cc formula car, a 1965 Brabham if I remember correctly. Seen this year at the Salzburgring/Austria.

An oval track racing group in texas had a rule, any two-one barrels to allow racers to use Kadrons. You know racers, they began cutting ida's in half. I found these in one of those guys stash from the 80's.

The best thing that can happen to that Mini is that it has a fuel burp and a misfire at the same time.
Burn you damn thing
and free the IDA from it's painful life
. May it find a better use on a proper car in it's next
