Please don't post that video. It's a trick and can be very dangerous to anyone foolish enough to try it with a correctly tensioned fan belt.

Please delete it, for safety's sake.

I think everyone can see that this is not a smart move.
I don't think we need to warn people about it ;-) Same as I personally believe we don't need to warn people not to put the cats into the microwave.
Lucky for him the belt was very loose (probably on purpose)...

I'm sure there's some 16 year old working on a Beetle and might think of trying it.

Lucky for him the belt was very loose (probably on purpose)...

Just remember... STUPID SHOULD HURT.


BTW... just recently a long time VW mechanic out in California got sloppy when working around a running engine. He got his hand caught in the fan belt and lost his index and middle fingers.

Sorry... but safety first. Let's not give anyone and help.
