What's up with this paint scheme? When/where was this taken?

Is that NED Bug 2? Very cool photo!

This is my fathers first racecar at Middle Tennessee Dragway also known as Buffalo Valley (I have the print of this pic. now) had to be in 1974 or 75 the car was purple before being painted white. It was sold after the 75 season when he built a 1967 Fiat which later became the widow maker and later became the snowtiger in Hawaii. I just located the Fiat and I am working to bring it home!

It did spend a few decades in Puerto Rico as a drag car, but was bought back by the Schley Bros a while back and has since been restored.

My car is what it is, maybe not Cal Look per the books, but it's more than most.

St Moritz is one of the best looking chop tops ever. The rear side windows are more like the Goss car than Tar Babe, but proportionally it's just spot on.

I agree , most people only see it is chopped when a stock is standing next to it . The original shape is well preserved

I think part of that is the flush fit windows - you see the total height of the window rather than just the clear bit.
I have to admit, I was rather jealous of you when Udo sold it, even though I'd got no money to buy it and was in no position to race it... Lovely car.

Thanks , but actually i didn t buy it from Udo , he sold it to Jeroen who is driving the Flying Bug now .
I was looking for a rolling chassis in 2013 when i posted an Ad ob a dragracing forum .
Udo contacted me and gave me the contact to Jeroen .
So i have to admit , i was pretty lucky to get this car .
Udo helped me a lot on my first engine . He was happy when i told him i wanna build a typ 1 engine and staying with the oldschool 1835 cc concept .
