Worm, Dan, and anyone else that had a hand in planning this event... much kudos and thanks to you. We had a very fun time and the drive through the canyon brought back many fond memories. I used to frequent Highway 74 a LOT when I had my two '66 Bugs, thirty years ago. That's the first time that I had an air cooled car on those roads in about twenty five years. FELT GREAT! Now, I'm more motivated to get discs, transmission, and engine upgrades for my '67.

Jason, your wife nailed a great shot, right here:

I finally have some time to process the pics from yesterday. I hope to get them posted up, tonight. Sorry for the delay, everyone. Work around the house and at work have been rather demanding the last few days. Time for some Fat Tire Ale, some tunes, a little food, and get them pics outta my camera.

No, this party is actually taking place on the Moon before Hollywood had a chance to fake it.

No, this party is actually taking place on the Moon before Hollywood had a chance to fake it.

So, wait... what you're saying, if I'm understanding you correctly, is that it was all merely a Fig Newton of our collective imaginations?

Dude.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Television was way better, then. A Fig Newton ad has more creativity than anything that's currently being broadcast, these days. Hey, did we just hijack our own thread?

Folks!
Took me a while to sign in but finally I can say thank you for the big effort and to welcome us to your christmas lunch! Hard to tell how much I enjoyed the ride in the back of Worms convertible and definitely knew what it was worth after we left the plane in Germany and had a freezing wind blowing in our faces.
Best regards from snowy salt-on-the-streets Germany!

Very nicely written, Torben. Also cool to meet you, as well. Hope that your winter cold will be over soon.
