Does anyone know what model/type of Tach this is please?

It was sold in the Mid '70's by VW of America alongside the Formula Vee Range.

Any if anyone has the Tach I'm interested, but any info will be great.

 Thanks  Smiley

I've not seen Cockpit Gauges like these before  Huh

All the ones I've seen previously have been the usual/common White on Black type, with the needles all starting in reular positions?

These are obvioulsy Yellow on Black and the Needle Sweeps all start in odd positions..

If you have more info please do let me know as Im very keen to obtain a Tacho like the one illustrated?

those are indeed the jet cockpit gauge series.  I have one but it's not for sale.  There are optional plastic bezels on the market for giving them the "airplane" looks...  I guess when you bought the vdo jet cockpit series these were included, and when you bought the ones mentioned in the vw catalogue the bezel is not included...  The gauges are 100% identical though...  Here is a sneak preview of my dash, I switched the black rings for chrome rings...

I have the plastic bezels for sale, for the small and big gauges...

Wow..... That Dash is really loaded.

I only have the 3 Gauges as per the Brochure.

Do you have any tips on where I might get the Tacho Please?   Wink

all that has been said is true - and the only way to find one is HOURS of trawling ebay/samba

P.S they were standard fitment to "Bradley GT" kit cars  Wink

I have all the smaller gauges but no Tach as yet   Sad

I was thinking of having the face place redone on one of my other VDO Tachs to match the yellow ones  Huh

    Thanks for the info Smiley

You could check with these guys: http://www.nhspeedometer.com/
They have done a speedometer conversion for me and a Ghia tach for BERGER here on the lounge, excellent work.
