« on: April 13, 2008, 02:31:15 am »

Well guys after checking out the pictures of "Peaches & scream" it looks like I still need to find myself a couple more VDO JET COCKPIT GUAGES  Roll Eyes Smiley

if you look closely at the pic I think you'll make out a "Cylinder head temp guage" (top left) now in a perfect world I would LOVE 2 of these but 1 will do   Wink Smiley

There is also a "Ammeter" (bottom right) I already have a "Volt meter" but you can NEVER have enough guages so I might as well have both  Wink Smiley

So who can help  Huh Anyone have any leads  Huh Shubee/Gary - any ideas  Huh

P.S thanks for the pic fabs  Wink

I've never been a fan of the jet cockpits but they do look tons better without the trim rings... like on Carlos' car.

Why not? I once heard of a guy who bought a Shelby GT-500 just for the wheels. He needed them to complete his Shelby GT-500 resto. Turned around and resold the car minus the wheels.  Cheesy

I really don´t like those gauges, too, BUT when there was a discussion some moons ago about what makes some cars stand out from the crowd, somebody (I think it was JHU) said that most cars that have "IT" have at least one feature that most paople consider UGLY. I think he´s right and I´m looking forward to see Lee´s finished car!!! Wink

That's right Tobi... I do go around saying things like that...  when it comes to building a car with some personality, the hard thing is keeping the ugly bits down to "one" Grin
But having seen Lee's buggy... I'm not worried Cool
