Well guys after checking out the pictures of "Peaches & scream" it looks like I still need to find myself a couple more VDO JET COCKPIT GUAGES      if you look closely at the pic I think you'll make out a "Cylinder head temp guage " (top left) now in a perfect world I would LOVE 2 of these but 1 will do       There is also a "Ammeter " (bottom right) I already have a "Volt meter" but you can NEVER have enough guages so I might as well have both      So who can help     Anyone have any leads     Shubee/Gary - any ideas    P.S thanks for the pic fabs    |

Going OverBoard Now Lee?? you dont need both a Amp and Volt Gauge? and the Old VDO cly head temp Gauge used a sender that had a copper ring that went under the spark plug it made it a real pain in the A** to change Plugs and I have seen more guys Cross thread spark Plugs with that sender then I can Count.    |

I've never been a fan of the jet cockpits but they do look tons better without the trim rings... like on Carlos' car. |

On Samba... ...in a Bradley GT!I am not going to buy a whole car just for a couple of gauges dude       Why not? I once heard of a guy who bought a Shelby GT-500 just for the wheels. He needed them to complete his Shelby GT-500 resto. Turned around and resold the car minus the wheels.    --louis |

I really don´t like those gauges, too, BUT when there was a discussion some moons ago about what makes some cars stand out from the crowd, somebody (I think it was JHU) said that most cars that have "IT" have at least one feature that most paople consider UGLY. I think he´s right and I´m looking forward to see Lee´s finished car!!! Bye, Tobi |

That's right Tobi... I do go around saying things like that...  when it comes to building a car with some personality, the hard thing is keeping the ugly bits down to "one" But having seen Lee's buggy... I'm not worried |
